Facebook Advertising Angles to leverage during the current economic climate

The state of the current economic climate has completely shifted in the wake of this pandemic. We are seeing some businesses pivot and leverage successfully while others are failing and unfortunately going bankrupt. It's definitely a scary time for all businesses, everything is uncertain right now, and who knows what the future holds.

This is why it's more important than ever to be mindful of your Facebook Advertising. You want to let customers know the benefits of your products or services during these trying times while using ad copy that really resonates with them. But you also want to make sure you aren't coming off sleazy either and just trying to make a quick buck. 

So let's get right down to it! Here are some Facebook Advertising angles that have been currently performing well for businesses that you can try out to maximize your own results during this pandemic. 


Angle 1 - Stock up / Be prepared.

We all saw what happened with toilet paper, cleaners, and hand sanitizers (I'm still having a hard time finding toilet paper!). They flew off the shelf! People felt the need to stock up and that's exactly what they did. Using ad copy and having promotions in place that allow people to buy multiple necessity items or really anything they use on a somewhat regular basis is a great angle to work right now. "Worried about running out? Don't worry we've got you covered". Offer incentives for buying multiple products, win-win. 


Angle 2 - Keep Busy / If you're bored. 

A lot of people are out of work right now, stuck at home, with nothing to do. (I'm genuinely so interested to find out the spike of usage Netflix has seen in the last couple of months!) People are bored! They are looking for ways to keep busy and occupy their time and their minds. If you offer or a product or service that fits this category this is a great angle to use! "Bored at home? Let us help you kill some time!".


Angle 3 - Immune Boosting / Stress Reliving / Staying clean / Staying calm

This is probably the best angle to leverage right now if you have a product or service that falls into any of these categories. This angle can apply to a lot of products or services. Now is the time everyone is trying to stay clean, healthy, and calm. Any health or fitness business can find all sorts of ways to leverage this angle as well as products that make life a little easier. Remember to be mindful of this angle, you want to always provide truthful claims and promote things that will actually benefit customers. Being sensitive is key. 


Angle 4 -Productivity 

Millions of people are now working from home or trying to make the most of the time they have at home. Finding ways to be productive and products or services that offer help with productivity are super important right now. This is a great angle if your business can fall into this category. "We know staying focused at home can be hard, we're here to help!"


Angle 5 - Family time

With parents at home and kids out of school, family time is at an all-time high! If you have a product or service that offers maximizing family time this is a great angle to work! Parents are struggling to keep their kids entertained while being cooped up. Try putting family first if you have a product or service that could help families during this time. 


Angle 6 - At home

This angle is great if you have products or services that make being at home a little nicer. If you sell clothing - loungewear is CRUSHING it right now. Making home cozier or easier to be in during these times is very important. If you have a product or service that can make home life a little better this is a great angle to use!


Angle 7 - Free Shipping, expedited shipping / Free delivery

We saw an extreme spike in grocery delivery services. People are worrisome of venturing out and are paying for things to be delivered instead. If you can make that easier for them by offering free shipping or free delivery you will definitely be helping them out and incentivize them to do business with you. This is a great angle to utilize for almost any product or service. 


There are a lot of angles you can use right now but these are the ones I've been seeing great returns on across the board. 

It's also extremely important to be sensitive and considerate with all these angles as well as with any advertising during this time. You want to be completely transparent and be a business that delivers genuine products or services that will make a difference. 

I highly suggest testing some of these angles out and working them into your advertising strategy.
